International Equity: Ratio of average incomes in poor countries (non-OECD regions) to average income in rich countries (OECD regions).
Irrigated Cropland: Agricultural areas relying on irrigation (rather than natural rainfall), in kilohectares (kha).
Irrigation Water: Volume of water used for irrigation, in trillions of cubic meters (10^12 m^3).

Other Land Areas: Land areas not categorized as built environment, cropland, pasture/grazing land, tree plantations, or forest area, such as deserts and mountains, in kilohectares (kha).
Pasture/Grazing Land: Land used for livestock grazing, in kilohectares (kha).
Plantation: Tree plantations for fuelwood and wood products, in kilohectares (kha).
Population: In millions of people.
PPP (Purchasing Power Parity): Used to compare incomes and economic activity across countries using a common basket of goods to compare currency values (rather than exchange rates).
Primary Energy Requirements: Includes all domestic energy sources (fossil fuels, nuclear, and renewables) and imports.
Quality of Development Index (QDI): Βlends several indicators on well-being, community, and environment (See Technical Documentation p. 323 for details).
Region: Scenarios are analyzed for 11 global regions.
Renewable Energy: Percentage of total energy demand from renewable sources (solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, etc.).
Richest 10% to Poorest 10%: A measure of inequality within a region: the ratio of the average income of the richest 10% of the population to the average income of the poorest 10% of the population.

Urban Population: People living in urban areas, in millions.
Waste Incinerated: Percentage of solid waste incinerated.
Waste Landfilled: Percentage of solid waste disposed of in landfills.
Waste Recycled: Percentage of solid waste recycled.
Water Stress: Number of people in areas with inadequate freshwater resources for human, economic, and environmental needs, in millions (See Technical Documentation p. 231 for details).
Water Use: Total freshwater withdrawals from natural sources, desalinization facilities, and recycled waste water, in trillion cubic meters (10^12 cubic meters).
Water Use per capita: Water use per person, in cubic meters (m^3).
Water Use/Resources: The ratio of freshwater withdrawals from natural sources to renewable freshwater flows in a region. Used to compute water stress.
Work Time: Average number of hours worked per capita per year.
