Christi Electris joined Tellus as an Associate in 2007. Her primary focus is the PoleStar model and its application to the Global Scenario Group's project. The PoleStar model is a software jointly developed and maintained by Tellus and the Stockholm Environment Institute - US. Ms. Electris is currently developing a new and updated data set for the PoleStar scenario models, and will be working with the Great Transition Initiative to develop global scenarios.

Christi concurrently pursued two graduate degrees, concentrating on sustainable development, political systems and theories, and technology transfer to developing countries. In cooperation with the US-Greek Initiative for Technology Cooperation in the Balkans and the Global Water Partnership-Mediterranean, her thesis research examined the coordination of sectoral technology adoption and use policies with environmental regulatory policies in a transboundary regional context. She has worked as a research assistant for several MIT projects, including the Global System for Sustainable Development group, the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment, and the Sloan School of Management. Prior to her graduate studies, Ms. Electris also worked as a researcher at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, designing and building both data-driven and knowledge-based probabilistic models.

Ms. Electris holds both a Masters of Science (SM) in Technology and Policy at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) at The Fletcher School, Tufts University.
