The Fellows Program

Tellus’ home is a brownstone in Boston’s historic Back Bay overlooking the Public Garden, a botanical treasure designed by Frederick Olmstead. Its Mansard roof, dormer windows, detailed ornamentation, graceful staircase, and stately rooms exemplify 19th century architectural elegance. With such former occupants as World Affairs Council and the United Nations Information Center, 11 Arlington Street carries a tradition of global engagement.
Tellus welcomes inquiries for its Visiting Fellows program. Candidates should have backgrounds in research, advocacy, journalism or other relevant areas and be broadly resonant with the "Great Transition" theme of the Institute. Visiting Fellows are provided with an equipped office and administrative support. The period of residency is flexible. Visiting Fellows meet their income requirements either through external sources or, where appropriate and available, through participation on Tellus projects.
Tellus also considers applications for permanent Senior Fellow positions from distinguished candidates who wish to join the Institute on an indefinite basis. Partial funding from internal sources is available to supplement external income sources.
